Good Byes

So i understand that i have not been posting up lately so i apologize. Anyways, the high school year is nearly over, being a senior was great and all but its time to face reality... WE ARE GOING OUR SEPARATE WAYS. Some of us are going to college, others are going to the army. It is hard to see friends leave but we must cherish the time we have together with them and realize that there might be a day where we might see them again. Treasure every moment you have with that person, if its your mom, dad, siblings, or a friend because you never know when there might be a time when you might have to say good bye for good...

EVHS v. SOCES (playoffs)

Today was a great victory for East Valley High School as they won their second game in the playoffs. East Valley began with a 1 point lead in the first quarter, but the opponents kept at it with their game aswell. As they reached the second quarter, it was 35/ 35; a tie for both SOCES [Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies] & EVHS [East Valley High School]. The third quarter began to be intense as both teams began to score points after points and reached multiple ties! During the 4th quarter it seemed as though SOCES was going to win, they kept going at it with 51-48. It seemed as though hope was lost. At the last moments of the fourth quarter it seemed as though SOCES was going to win but EVHS managed to score a few more points and at the last 2 seconds EVHS had already won with 59- 55!! SOCES has not lost a game in their home court for 3 years until today! "Who is crying now?!" said one of the EVHS fans, since last time it was some of OUR players who shed some tears of misery. But now the tables have turned and EVHS continues on striving.
Eddy Escobar along with Jeff, Michael, Max, Andrew, Shaq, Kevin, Manny, Lavondale, Marc, Lisa, and Coach Skedas himself were filled with great joy because of their great victory! And on top of that a few of the players seemed to be shedding some tears because of their win.
NOW IT IS THE CONTINUATION OF THE GAMES: NEXT UP THE SEMI FINALS WHERE EVHS WILL FACE OFF AGAINST THE #1 TEAM (HOME GAME)... THIS GAME WILL BE A GREAT ONE TO WATCH THIS THURSDAY @ 7PM!!!!!
EVHS v. Central City

Last night was the beginning of the Playoffs for our Falcons as they faced off against Central City. The crowed cheered as Eddy Escobar, Andrew Faigenblat, Manny & Max Torres, Michael Masrelian, and the rest of the team played an exciting match filled with dead balls, falls, and other hilarious moments. The opposing team was especially hilarious because of their insecure look at the beginning of the game. During the first quarter, EVHS was already at a 4 point lead and they had already given up. Seeing as though Central City would lose since the beginning of the game, there is no point in continuing the story. Anyways East Valley won 71 to 38.

EVHS v. SOCES

Today was an unfortunate day for the East Valley basketball team. They played a game against the SOCES today and lost 71 to 36! Although they have lost, they are still headed towards the playoffs next Thursday @ 7 pm HOME GAME and hopefully they'll bounce back. Although the team lost, there is still some thing to gain from this game (especially). Coach Skedas said, "Every team has their worst game." We certainly hope that this will be the ONLY game in which the team has lost by a devastating difference.

On other news, Andrew Faigenblat as well as Eddy Escobar have both appeared on an interview after the devastating defeat. During the interview, they mentioned how this recent game that they lost may help them achieve a better understanding of the chemistry in the team. Well i for one hope that the saying "WE ARE ONE" isn't just a phrase...
well now you must wait until the playoffs...
go to this site to see the article
http://northhollywood.patch.com/articles/prep-hoops-roundup-east-valley-sherman-oaks-ces-to-face-off-again

Eddy Escobar has reached to new heights. He has been noticed by the NCSA which is a basketball recruiting association for a while now and has begun to send videos of his games to them to show what he's got to offer. Here is the site in order to watch his highlights...http://recruit-match.ncsasports.org/fasttrack/client/RecruitingProfile.do?method=getRecruitingProfile&clientID=504205

Guillermo's 18th Birthday

Today is Guillermo's birthday and coincidentally it is also the day of the super bowl (packers v. steelers).. although there WAS a sort of celebration for both, memo did not show up! As his 18th birthday, it would have been very significant for all of us if he HAD shown up because as it turns out, turning 18 is a big step in a man's future, AND it may be the last celebration of his birthday in a long time for he has decided to join the Army! Much of the gang has been able to accept his decision and other people have been shocked to hear what he has done. To WHERE he is going is unknown, as well as if he IS leaving CA. and for HOW LONG. But what IS known is that he will be truly missed....

As the Varsity captain in East Valley High school, he has progressed tremendously throughout the years and has achieved to new heights. He has recently received a letter from Sport 360 inviting him to join the prestigious management where he has the opportunity to travel to different countries and competing with other talented basket ball players like himself.
